ABOUT ANYA
Hi there I’m Anya 👋,
a Girls Gone Strong qualified personal trainer and group fitness coach serving women in all stages of their lives whether it be pre-pregnancy or post menopause – with 13 years experience as a trainer and over 10,000 in person, (as well as online), personal training sessions and 1000+ fitness classes taken during that time.
I developed a passion for sport and fitness whilst studying for a degree at the University of Bath, which has a strong reputation in elite sports performance and student sport. After graduating and working in the television industry for ten years, I made the decision to become a personal trainer, hopefully proving it’s never too late to make a big life change. I constantly strive to be the best trainer I can be by furthering my knowledge and completing numerous courses.
A few years ago, I qualified as a Girls Gone Strong Pre and Post Natal Fitness Coach, which is internationally recognised as one of the best pre and postnatal certifications for fitness professionals and more recently have qualified as a Menopause Movement Coach.
I love being a Personal Trainer however I feel the term is often misunderstood or mis-represented. If you close your eyes and think of what a PT is, you may think of a shouty, bulked up army guy or a highly toned glamorous woman bouncing around encouraging you to do one more burpee! My style is quite the opposite and I believe the ‘personal’ aspect of my work is key to helping my clients succeed. I take the time to truly get to know each individual - what drives them, what challenges they face, and how they’re wired—so I can create a tailored approach that keeps them motivated and on track. The way I train one client could be quite different to the way I train another as everybody is different and has unique needs and goals.
Overall I aim to help my clients reduce stress in their lives, encourage pain-free natural movement and actually enjoy exercise rather than find it a chore!
I train clients from my home in Tooting, South-West London, but I also do sessions in the surrounding areas and online.
